Michael Goulian

Airshow Performer,

Aviation Safety

Mike has been involved in aviation since the mid-1980s. In 1964, his parents founded a flight school and maintenance facility which they've continued to operated for over 50 years. Since learning to fly in the 80’s, Michael has accumulated 10,000 hours in the air, holding a CFII and ATP with multiple jet aircraft type ratings.

He has authored two books on aerobatics, hosted numerous aviation safety videos and his safety seminars are favorites with pilots.

A three-time member of the US Unlimited Aerobatic Team, Mike was the 1990 US Advanced National Aerobatic Champion and 1995 US Unlimited National Aerobatic Champion.

In 2014, he was awarded the Aero Club of New England Presidential Award for making significant positive contributions to aviation. Michael was named an honorary US Navy Blue Angel in 2014—the same year the Blue Angels bestowed this same honor on President George H. W. Bush.

In 2017, Mike and his wife, Karin, founded Mike Goulian Aviation, an aviation business focused on flight training in and management of Cirrus Aircraft. Mike Goulian Aviation is an authorized Cirrus Training Center and has two locations: Plymouth and Bedford, Mass.

Outside of flying, Michael spends much of his free time advocating general aviation with leaders in our industry to improve safety and to promote aviation to all ages.
